About the Journal
Isin Journal for Archaeology, History and Ancient Languages (IJAHAL) is a peer-reviewed, double-anonymized, open-access academic journal published online by the College of Archaeology, University of Al-Qadisiyah, under the sponsorship of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR). The journal publishes original research articles in English covering archaeology, ancient history, cultural heritage, languages, religions, geoarchaeology, bioarchaeology, preservation studies, excavations, and Mesopotamian studies from the Palaeolithic to the Ottoman periods. IJAHAL is committed to high standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All published content is freely accessible under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
